Guided space for depth, change and becoming
For many years, my work lived under the name Rainbow Vibrations.
It began with sound and healing, and over time grew to include gong meditation, singing bowls, women's circles, ceremony, ritual, teaching and many different ways of working with people.
But as my own life changed, so did my understanding of the work I wanted to offer.
Entering the menopause transition has been part of that change. It has made me look more closely at what I need, what I value and where I want to place my energy. It has also brought me into a deeper understanding of the many thresholds we move through during our lives.
And I realised something that had been unfolding for some time, without me realising:
My work was becoming bigger than sound.
Sound is still a deeply important part of what I do. After more than 15 years of facilitating gong and sound experiences, it is woven deeply into my way of working. But it is one thread in a much larger tapestry.
There is ceremony, teaching, mentoring, women's work, ritual, listening.
There is accompanying people through periods of change.
And there is the simple act of creating space for something to unfold.
The old name no longer quite held all of that.
So the work needed a new name too.
The Way of the BoneHearth is not a departure from everything that came before. It is the next expression of it.
Why BoneHearth?
Bone speaks to what lies beneath.
Our bones are our deep structure; it’s what holds us upright, what remains when everything superficial has fallen away. They carry ideas of ancestry, memory, lineage and what has been passed down to us, consciously or otherwise.
Bone also speaks to truth.
To come back to the bone is to come back to what is essential.
Hearth is the place of the fire.
It is warmth, gathering and nourishment. A place where people come together, where stories are shared, where something is tended and where transformation happens slowly, through heat and time.
The hearth is not the fire itself. It is the place that holds the fire.
Together, BoneHearth becomes a meeting place between the ancient and the alive.
Between what roots us and what changes us.
Between what we inherit and what we create.
Between what we inherit and what we choose.
Between deep roots and new growth.
Between what has shaped us and what we are becoming.
And then there is The Way.
It isn't a destination. It isn't a system that tells you who you should become.
It is a way of paying attention. Of listening. Of moving through the thresholds of our lives. Of learning, unlearning, remembering and becoming.
Sometimes the threshold is obvious — menopause, a major life change, grief, a relationship ending, a new beginning.
Sometimes it is hidden.
Sometimes we simply know that the old way of being no longer fits.
These are the places that interest me.
The places where something is shifting beneath the surface.
The places where we may need to pause, listen differently, shed something, remember something or simply be accompanied for a while.
The Way of the BoneHearth brings together the different strands of my work.
Sound and listening — developed through more than 15 years of facilitating gongs, singing bowls, and sound experiences.
Ceremony and ritual — creating meaningful spaces to mark, honour and move through life's thresholds.
Teaching and learning — sharing practical knowledge, experience and the deeper art of listening through sound and ceremony.
Women's work — particularly the profound changes and transitions that can come through the female life journey.
Mentoring and guidance — offering space for deeper reflection, listening and becoming.
These aren't separate pieces of a business.
They are different expressions of the same underlying thread:
Creating space for depth, change and becoming.
And perhaps this is what BoneHearth is really about
We spend so much of our lives being told who we should be, what we should want and how quickly we should move on.
BoneHearth offers something different.
A place to slow down.
To listen.
To meet what is changing.
To honour what has been.
And to discover what might be waiting underneath it all.
What is ancient meets what is becoming.
This is The Way of the BoneHearth.
